Nemours is seeking an HIM Verification Specialist to join our Nemours Children’s Health team. This position is responsible for picking up, prepping, verifying & digitally categorizing documents into the electronic medical records via a variety of applications/systems to assure that clinical information is accurate and available for patient care in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and classifies all incoming documents for scanning to the document management system (including email attachments, CD uploads, etc.).
- Serves as primary data verification analysts, enters discrete data accurately and timely to support clinical decision making; and analyzes the specialty referrals and creates the consult orders to initiate the scheduling process.
- Maintains standard of accuracy and productivity and actively proposes innovative ideas for efficiency and enhancements.
