No selling, no digital products, and no computers needed!

If you’ve been looking for a simple, non-salesy way to make extra money from home, this is exactly how I’ve been doing it. Every week, I earn an additional $200–$250, sometimes more, without selling products, running a business, or buying anything.
I’m talking about stuff I already do daily: scanning receipts from my daily purchases, watching shows on my phone, completing small offers, taking surveys about my lifestyle, reviewing books on Amazon, using cash back apps, playing games, and referring people.
I do most of this in the morning when I wake up and again at night before I go to bed. It fits perfectly around my life as a work-from-home person, a parent, and someone who doesn’t want to rely on ride-share gigs or leave the house just to make a little extra income.
This is perfect for anyone who:
- wants extra cash but doesn’t want high-effort side hustles,
- needs something flexible they can do while their kids are around,
- is tired of gig work like DoorDash, Uber, Instacart, etc.,
- enjoys low-stress tasks that add up quickly.
Below are the categories of income streams I use each week.
***If you choose to sign up using my referral links, I may receive a small bonus at no cost to you. I only share platforms I actually use and earn from.
Book Reviewing
I review books on Amazon for companies that gather reviews for authors. This is quick, simple, and something I enjoy. If you love reading, this is an easy side income because you’re already spending time doing it. I get paid around $3-4 per review! The company I review books for is called, The Paid Reader Club.
Outlier Tasks
Outlier has a new project, Aether, that has a combinations of tasks. To date, I have only passed the exam and onboarded. I made $30 from a mission for downloading the time clock app on my desktop. The pay for this project is $15 per hour. To get started, create an account here.
Cashback Apps
I don’t buy anything special, just my regular groceries and necessities. These apps reward me simply for uploading receipts or shopping through their portals. It’s passive money on stuff I buy anyway such as gas, groceries, Amazon purchases, etc. These apps also pay you to refer people and connect your online shopping accounts. Sign up for the apps below:
BrandClub: BrandClub offers personalized cash back rewards and incentives for engaging with and purchasing from your favorite brands.
Aisle: Aisle provides instant cash back on grocery and fast food purchases by allowing users to submit receipts for eligible products.
TopCashback: TopCashback partners with a wide range of retailers to offer consumers cash back on online purchases with no minimum payout.
Upside: Upside helps users earn cash back on everyday purchases such as gas, groceries, and dining at participating locations.
Ibotta: Ibotta offers users cash back on groceries and other purchases by submitting receipts or linking loyalty accounts at participating retailers. This is the last week to get your Thanksgiving dinner completely paid for through this app!
Referral Programs
A lot of apps pay me just for telling people about them. I don’t pressure anyone or “sell” anything. I simply share what I’m already using, and the referral bonuses help boost my weekly earnings. Since a lot of people are skeptical about giving out their information, I always make sure I only share apps that give bonuses to those who sign up as well. Sign up for the apps I use below:
1Q: 1Q pays users for providing opinions on brief surveys, with additional earnings through its referral program. You get $0.25 for each 1-2 question survey you answer in the app, and $0.25 per referral.
FreeCash: FreeCash combines gaming and rewards by allowing users to earn cash by completing tasks and engaging with games, also offering referral incentives. They give you a $5 bonus for signing up with my link. When your referral signs up, you receive up to $12 per referral.
SOFI: SOFI provides financial services including loans and investment opportunities, with a referral program that rewards users for bringing in new members. Your referral must sign up SOFI and the Relay Credit Monitoring, both are free, and you both get $10.
Debbie: Debbie offers a unique financial platform that incentivizes debt repayment and personal finance management, with additional earnings via referrals. Once your referral signs up and links their SOFI account, you get $20 per referral.
Watching Videos
Yes, I literally get paid for watching shows, especially quick minute dramas which I already love. Some apps pay you in points that convert to cash or gift cards. The app I use breaks the videos up into 1 to 2 minute short videos. The more you watch, the more coins you earn. I usually watch these as I go about my day. As of right now, Nice Drama has the best compensation offers. Use this link to sign up to get paid.
Surveys
I don’t sit for hours doing long, frustrating survey sessions. I stick to the high-quality ones that actually pay and only complete them while relaxing or winding down. One thing that I like about the survey apps is that they also have offer tabs where you can make money by simply signing up with their partners. Once you get a feel for taking surveys, you’ll start to realize they ask the same questions on different platforms, and you’ll get quicker. Try these apps to maximize your earnings:
AttaPoll: AttaPoll connects users with paid surveys on various topics, offering quick cashouts and the ability to choose survey lengths.
Eureka: Eureka gives users the opportunity to earn money by sharing their opinions through surveys, watching videos, and offers, with transparent and fast payouts. Be sure to use my code, HX7XP1, to get a signup bonus when registering.
SurveyPop: SurveyPop offers easy access to a variety of surveys, watching videos, and completing offers, allowing users to earn rewards and cash with convenient redemption options. Be sure to use my code, 29632Y, to get a signup bonus when registering.
InboxDollars: InboxDollars provides users with cash rewards for completing surveys, watching videos, and engaging in other online activities such as reading their daily emails.
Receipt Scans
Every receipt: gas, groceries, convenience stores, fast food, pharmacy, etc. gets me money. This is the easiest category because it takes less than 10 seconds per receipt. Some apps have weekly limits, but I use a box to keep the receipts that I have to hold until the next week.
If you already do ride-share apps, you can scan receipts as far back as 30 days and get even more money. There’s no requirement that it has to just be my receipts, so I usually ask my family to give me their receipts as well. To stack my earnings, I usually scan the same receipt across multiple apps. Try these apps:
Coinout: Coinout allows users to earn cash rewards by scanning receipts from any retailer, with no minimum payout threshold.
Receipt Hog: Receipt Hog offers users rewards for uploading receipts from purchases, which can be redeemed for cash or gift cards. If prompted, use my code: slar2948 to extra bonus hog points.
Frisbee: Frisbee provides a seamless way to earn rewards by scanning receipts and engaging with partner brands for additional bonuses.
Pogo: Pogo allows users to earn cash effortlessly by scanning receipts and linking accounts for automatic rewards on everyday spending. When you use my code, 43LQJ8, you get extra points that you can redeem for cash.
Final Thoughts
Because I’m not doing anything extra, I enjoy monetizing the habits I already have and turning my downtime into money. And the best part? There is potential to make even more!
