
First Thoughts:
The format of your resume is very important when applying to jobs. The better it looks, the better chance you have of it being recognized by the ATS and most importantly the recruiter. Most recruiters spend about 6 seconds on each resume.
At the time of this writing, there are three common resume formats. They are the chronological resume, the functional resume, and the combination resume.
Below are two examples that you can use to properly format your resume. These examples are in the chronological format meaning your most recent position is at the top of the experience section. I always advise individuals to go back no more than 10 years.
For a job that you are working now, you should always speak in present tense.
Wilens Law Firm, Camp Lejeune Intake Specialist
July 2022 to Present
-Receives inbound calls from potential law clients
-Shows empathy while swiftly proving non-legal counsel and soft interrogation.
-Makes sound judgements, based off company criteria, to improve the lives of injured victims
-Uses correct grammar to fill out client intake forms to pass along to lawyers

For a previous position that you have held, always speak in past tense and only share relevant duties to the job that you are applying to.
Dynata, Voter Surveyor
Sept 2020 to Now
-Dials/calls warm leads to interview voters about their upcoming views to improve research data
-Toggles between multiple interfaces to input accurate information to ensure adherence to agent KPIs
-Dials 75-150 calls per hour
-Attends daily huddles to gain more insight on personal metrics to improve my efficiency rate
Final Thoughts:
Be sure to always include a result so that you are not viewed as a doer but more so an asset to the company.
When creating your bullet points for your job duties, remember employers seek out individuals who increase their profitability, do the right tasks to propel the company, and increase their customer experience satisfaction.
