Working from home has become a highly-desired work requirement for job seekers. Who doesn’t want to be able to pickup when they want, house their job in their backpack , and nap in their bed in between breaks? There’s even more leniency when working a job from home that does not have phone duties.
Although we may think that every one has the opportunity to work from home, such is not the case. Not all non-phone work from home jobs are background friendly. The following companies are background friendly non-phone work from home jobs:
This company hires transcribers. The pay ranges from $150 to $1250 a month depending on when you decide to work. There are no restrictions on the work hours, and you are in charge of setting your schedule. The company does require that you listen to a sample and transcribe it. You are given the transcription guidelines to make the process as easy as possible.
This is another transcription company that hires very quickly. I do not have a background, but I applied to the company on a Tuesday and the following Saturday, I was sent my contractor contract.
When applying, you have two options: the editor position and the captioning position. The editing position requires that you correct the AI’s transcription, whereas the captioning position requires that you caption live broadcasts in real time. The editing position has a shorter training period and is ideal for individuals who do not want to speak or do not have a completely quiet background.
WeLocalize hires contractors to rate search engine results, ads, and map results. They hire for other positions, but this is the most common position that is shared.
You are required to pass their rater exam after two weeks of independent study time. Once you pass, you are paid $15 per hour (according to the last time I applied) and can work part-time which is around 20 or more hours.
I worked for this company when the owner first started it, and the pay was not as high as it is now. The job includes matching voter signatures with their names.
Those in production are reviewed by peer reviewers. There’s room for growth to become a peer reviewer and make more money, but initially you’ll be tasked with tagging. The owner has recently created a leaderboard and incentives for those who meet and exceed the quotas.
This is a virtual assisting platform that pays around $13-17 per hour. I worked for this company, and they were very flexible. In the initial call, they ask about your desired salary and if you want to select clients or be paired with clients.
They do have a job board that is embedded in your dashboard to which you can select instant tasks and apply to new clients. This job alone can create a stable and reliable income of 2.5-3 thousand dollars monthly.
Having a background does not mean that you are completely barred from working from home with a job that is non-phones. There are companies that will hire you just the way you are as long as you have a willingness to work and benefit the company.
